On October 12, 2024, at the International horse breeding academy named after Aba Annayev, the ceremony of awarding the certificate that the national presentation " Art of Akhal-teke horse breeding and traditions of horses’ decoration" was included in the UNESCO list of outstanding examples of intangible cultural heritage was held.
Mrs. Simona Mirela Mikeleskun head of the General Conference of UNESCO, ambassadors of foreign delegations in Turkmenistan, leaders and employees of international organizations in Turkmenistan, experts working in the Horse breeding industry, trainers, students and teachers of higher educational institutions took part in this event. Speakers expressed their deep gratitude to the initiatives of Hero Arkadag, for the significant efforts have been made to develop the Horse breeding industry in our country, leading to the rising global reputation of the Ahalteke horses, which are considered a national and global treasure.
Participants also attended the exhibition showcasing decorative items adorned on our Ahalteke heavenly horses, featuring works of sculptural, applied decorative, carpet weaving, and jewelry art dedicated to horses. Participants expressed their heartfelt gratitude to our Hero Arkadag and to our Arkadagly Hero Serdar for all the opportunities they provide to preserve our national heritage and promote our heavenly horses on an international level.
